A Greek Food Oasis in the Heart of Nicosia
Tasty Evenings by the Pool at the Cleopatra Hotel.
A wonderful restaurant, open and accessible to anyone who wants to discover it, has been hosted for over 10 years by the Cleopatra Hotel in the heart of the capital.
We are talking about the Meze Restaurant "O Loukoullos", which during the summers moves to the courtyard, sets tables by the pool, and offers a journey of flavors from all over Greece! This journey includes delicious meze dishes for you and your friends!
From the very first moment, what stands out is the very atmospheric decor, with reflections in the blue waters, and of course, the wonderful flavors. The exceptionally talented chef passionately seeks the best ingredients from local and not only producers and offers refined dishes that smell like Greece, with great ideas for 'lavish' meals under the starry sky of Nicosia.
A meze restaurant-oasis in the bustling center of the capital, where in the evenings you can smell Greek dips, souvlaki, kontosouvli, saganaki, and many other dishes, as long as you have the appetite to try them all! A place where you can nibble on something or have a proper meal, drink Greek wines or ouzo, chat, and even relax and enjoy yourself casually and unpretentiously!
Start with a salad (Greek, village, rocket, or Cretan dakos) and appetizers like spicy cheese spread, eggplant salad, cheese bourek, feta bouyiourdi, zucchini fritters, cheese croquettes. Be sure to try one of the delicious saganaki (shrimp, halloumi, eggplant), and get ready for exciting cooked and grilled dishes!
If you are a seafood lover, we recommend octopus with cuttlefish tagliatelle or ouzo shrimp. If you prefer meat, you must try the pork knuckle with Cretan strifti, the Pelion spetsofai, as well as the pork fillets with plums.
On the grill, there will be mushrooms, various vegetables, halloumi, village sausage, kontosouvli, souvlaki (chicken), seftalies, Politis meze, lamb chops.
And if you ultimately want to take your dining experience at Loukoullos a step further, then you can choose a meat platter, featuring many of the menu's flavors!
The unique 'mother-in-law' dessert will close the dinner superbly. Alternatively, you can enjoy apple donuts, fried ice cream, chocolate souffle with ice cream, yogurt with wild blackberries and almonds, or fresh seasonal fruits. Perhaps after these, a summer passage through the center of the capital will sound more appealing than ever.
