Michalis Pantelidis Represents Cyprus at European Parliament Exhibition
The “28 Visions Européennes Pour Une Mode Plus Durable” Will Take Place in Paris.
Cypriot fashion textiles designer Michalis Pantelidis has been selected to represent Cyprus at the prestigious exhibition “28 Visions Européennes pour une Mode plus Durable”, organized by the European Parliament, taking place from October 1 to 31, 2025 at Europa Expérience, 28 Place de la Madeleine, Paris.
Bringing together 28 visionary creators from across Europe, including a Ukrainian guest artist, the exhibition explores the intersection of sustainability, creativity, and European policy. Each participating designer presents innovative works created through upcycling practices and sustainable textile approaches, showcasing the diversity of techniques shaping the future of fashion.
Pantelidis, known for his fusion of photography, heritage, and textiles, will present his striking piece “Red Caftan” — a caftan dress made 100% from recycled plastic bottles. This work represents his broader practice of transforming wastelands and environmental concerns into high fashion, redefining how sustainability can merge with luxury and cultural storytelling.
“It is an honor to represent Cyprus in Paris through my work and to join a collective European vision for a more sustainable future in fashion. This exhibition highlights not only the importance of design innovation but also the role of culture and heritage in shaping responsible creativity.”
