2024 Cruise Suspension from Limassol to Greek Islands

2024 Cruise Suspension from Limassol to Greek Islands

The Decision Was Made by the Companies Due to the War in Israel

Cruises from the Port of Limassol to the Greek islands will not be taking place this year, as confirmed by Christos Christou, the Vice President of Outgoing Tourism for the Cyprus Association of Travel Agents (ACTA), in a statement to Brief.

Specifically, Mr. Christou, when questioned about the information from Brief regarding the suspension of routes from the Port of Limassol to the Greek islands, mentioned that the decision was made by the companies due to the war in Israel.

He explained that the cruises from the Port of Limassol to the Greek islands are interconnected with trips to the Holy Land, for which there is no interest in 2024 due to the war.

It's noteworthy that in 2023, more than 20 cruises had been conducted from the Port of Limassol to the Greek islands.

Regarding cruises from Piraeus, Mr. Christou added that Cypriots who wish to travel by cruise ship to the Greek islands can do so from the port of Piraeus, where additional routes have also been added.

Concluding, Mr. Christou noted that the schedules from the Port of Limassol for 2025 are being planned as usual by the companies.
