Alpha Bank Holdings denies recent online media reports claiming that Alpha Holdings has entered negotiations to acquire a stake in the Bank of Cyprus Holdings Public Limited Company from its existing shareholders.

In a statement issued today, Friday, Alpha Holdings mentioned that "as part of the implementation of its announced strategic plan, it monitors the market to evaluate investment opportunities and informs the investing public in accordance with current legislation."
