Andreas Chatzipanagis Elected President of Cyprus Association of Pharmaceutical Companies

Dr. Christakis Sergides elected Vice President as new leadership aims to strengthen innovation, exports, and international presence.

The Cyprus Association of Pharmaceutical Companies announced the election of Andreas Chatzipanagis as its new President, and Dr. Christakis Sergides as Vice President for the 2025–2027 term. The announcement followed the Association’s Annual General Assembly.

According to the announcement, Mr. Chatzipanagis—"with a long-standing career in the pharmaceutical sector and experience in key industry positions"—takes on the role of President with the aim of further strengthening collaboration among the Association's members and expanding Cyprus’s footprint in the global pharmaceutical market.

His election is seen as ensuring continuity in the Association’s vision and mission to establish a National Strategy for the Pharmaceutical Industry, prioritizing innovation, research and development, improvement of the regulatory framework, and the enhancement of Cyprus’s pharmaceutical exports.

In his statement, Mr. Chatzipanagis expressed gratitude for the trust shown by the Association’s members and committed to working towards the promotion of Cypriot pharmaceutical companies both domestically and internationally.

"My goal is to ensure that Cyprus continues to develop as a leading destination in the pharmaceutical field and to support the sustainable growth of our industry, while promoting health and well-being not only in Cyprus but also in the 180+ countries where Cypriot pharmaceuticals are exported," he noted.
