11th Annual Energy Symposium to Discuss Natural Gas, Electricity, and Renewables in Nicosia

"Time for Action on Energy"

The 11th Annual Energy Symposium is set to be held at the Royal Hall in Nicosia on Tuesday, 31 October 2023, between 09:00 and 15:00. The much-anticipated event will explore pivotal sectors including natural gas, electricity, and renewable energy sources.

This year's symposium, themed "Time for Action on Energy", is jointly organized by the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) and FMW Financial Media Way. Leading the roster of distinguished speakers is the President of the Republic, Nicos Christodoulides.

Other noteworthy attendees include the President of the House, Annita Demetriou, the Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, Giorgos Lakkotrypis, as well as energy ministers from Greece, Israel, and Egypt. The event will also feature key representatives from companies in the Cypriot EEZ, presidents of energy associations, and several notable academics and technocrats.

The symposium arrives at a crucial juncture, with the government and industry players poised to make significant decisions on energy, particularly natural gas. The agenda will give particular attention to energy costs and the intricacies of electricity.
