Criminal charges have been filed against the former Director of the Central Prisons, Anna Aristotelous, the former Deputy Director, Athina Dimitriou, five prison guards, and one former guard—now serving as a police officer—by the Legal Service of Cyprus.

The charges relate to the high-profile case involving thousands of classified documents from the Central Prisons, which were discovered last April at the home of a chief prison officer.

The case has been officially registered before the Nicosia District Court.
