The Global Network of Environmental Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Open University of Cyprus (OUC), the University of the Aegean (Greece) and the University of Salerno (Italy) will co-organize the 19th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology. The Chair of the conference is Professor Demetris-Francis Lekkas (University of the Aegean), with co-chairs Professor Vincenzo Belgiorno (University of Salerno) and Associate Professor Antonis Zorpas, Director of the Master’s Degree Programme in “Sustainable Environmental Engineering” and the Chemical Engineering and Engineering Sustainability Laboratory at OUC. 

The conference is being organized at a crucial time when the climate change is significantly affecting both natural ecosystems and societies. The conference will bring together scientists from diverse disciplines to address various crucial environmental issues, such as climate change, aquatic ecosystems, health and biodiversity. It will also discuss various management practices for different situations and explore the role of the circular economy in mitigating negative impacts on the environment and promoting innovative solutions that promote the environmental and economic resilience of systems.
