First CYSh1P Services Go Live, Modernizing Cyprus’ Shipping Sector

New portal replaces eSAS and centralizes access to maritime certificates and registrations.

The first online services of the Cyprus Shipping One-Stop-Shop (CYSh1P) digital portal became operational on Tuesday, marking an important step toward the digital transformation and modernization of Cyprus’ shipping services under the Deputy Ministry of Shipping.

According to an announcement by the Deputy Ministry, CYSh1P offers stakeholders — including shipowners, lawyers, ship managers, seafarers, and shipping organizations — centralized and user-friendly access to a comprehensive range of maritime services.

The platform provides services such as ship registration and registry transactions, technical (safety and security) and environmental operations for Cyprus-flagged vessels, seafarer training and certification, Tonnage Tax System (TTS) services, and services for small and high-speed vessels.

The digital rollout will proceed in stages. The first electronic services (eServices), which went live on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, allow users to:

  • Apply for Seafarer Registration Certificates,

  • Apply for or renew Seafarer Books and Approvals, and

  • Apply for or renew Certificates of Competency (CoC) and related documentation or professional certificates.

With the launch of the initial CYSh1P services, the previous eSAS platform (https://esas.dms.gov.cy/) has been decommissioned, and users can no longer submit new applications through it.

To access the new eServices on CYSh1P, users must register and subscribe to the relevant services.

  • Companies registered in Cyprus must use their CY Login account for registration.

  • Companies without a CY Login account are advised to obtain one as soon as possible.

  • Foreign companies can register directly via the CYSh1P portal.

A detailed User Guide is available on the CYSh1P platform (https://cysh1p.dms.gov.cy/), providing step-by-step instructions for registration, profile creation, credential setup, and service enrollment.

“The Deputy Ministry remains committed to improving the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of Cyprus’ maritime services through digital innovation, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders in the shipping industry,” the announcement concludes.
