As part of the effort to enhance startup and innovative entrepreneurship in Cyprus, the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces a new call for proposals under the PRE-SEED program, with a total budget of €1.2 million.

According to the announcement, the PRE-SEED program aims to accelerate the development of a startup. The funding covers, among other things, the initial operational steps, staff recruitment, prototype development, business plan preparation, as well as marketing and branding activities.

The maximum funding per project is €119,999. Proposals should be submitted through the IRIS platform, with a deadline of November 1, 2024.

Entities selected for funding will automatically have access to the free innovation support services and knowledge transfer tools provided by RIF. The calls are co-financed by the Republic of Cyprus and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Cohesion Policy Program "THALEIA 2021-2027."
