HackTech 2025 Returns to Cyprus

Join the Island’s Largest Hackathon and Compete for €30,000 in Prizes Under the Theme “Tech vs Wildfires

The island’s biggest hackathon is back. HackTech 2025 will take place on 15–16 November at The Warehouse by IT Quarter in Limassol, bringing together innovators, developers, designers, and changemakers to tackle one of today’s most urgent environmental challenge in Cyprus: wildfires.

Organised by AdTech Holding, this year’s theme, “Tech vs Wildfires,” calls on participants to develop tools and technologies that can help predict, prevent, and respond to wildfire disasters. With a total prize pool of €30,000, the competition offers not only recognition and rewards but also the chance to make a tangible difference.

Participants can join one of two main tracks:

  • Prevention Track, focusing on early detection, risk assessment, and monitoring systems.

  • Protection Track, centered on real-time response and crisis management during wildfires.

HackTech 2025 welcomes all skill levels, from first-time coders to experienced developers. Whether you’re passionate about tech for good, eager to network with mentors and industry leaders, or simply looking for a challenge that blends creativity and impact, this is the place to be.

Applications are open until 31 October, with selected participants notified by 10 November. Teams will then have two days to bring their ideas to life, pitch their prototypes, and compete for the top prizes:

  • 1st Place: €15,000

  • 2nd Place: €10,000

  • 3rd Place: €5,000

HackTech has become a benchmark event in Cyprus’ growing tech ecosystem, one that fuses innovation with social purpose. If you believe in technology’s power to solve real problems, now’s the time to join the movement.
