FastForward was on the ground throughout the event, capturing key moments and speaking with some of the people who shaped HackTech’25.

HackTech’25 brought together developers, engineers, designers, policymakers, and emergency specialists with one goal in mind: creating practical tools to help Cyprus respond to and prevent wildfires. Organised by AdTech Holding and supported by government bodies, ecosystem partners, and industry sponsors, the hackathon focused solely on wildfire-related challenges, leading to a wave of innovative prototypes ranging from early-warning systems and AI-powered monitoring tools to recovery platforms.

Over an intense two-day sprint, teams worked alongside mentors from leading tech companies, refining concepts and presenting solutions aimed at strengthening Cyprus’ resilience. The event highlighted a strong message from the community: innovation can and should be directed toward real-world impact.
