Winners of the "IT Solutions to Improve Life in Cyprus" Challenge

1st Place: Middle-Aged Cyprus Ninja Turtles
This team developed a volunteer management platform aimed at event organizers. The tool simplifies recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer management, ensuring seamless event execution while building a comprehensive database of skilled volunteers. The project promises to enhance Cyprus's capacity for organizing large-scale events efficiently.

2nd Place: Byte Me Please
Aiming to promote healthier living, this mobile app empowers users to make informed grocery decisions. By scanning product barcodes, shoppers can instantly access details about ingredients and reviews in their preferred language, encouraging better dietary choices.

3rd Place: Green Cyprus
Addressing environmental concerns, this platform connects individuals and companies with reforestation initiatives in Cyprus. Users can sponsor tree planting, monitor their growth, and actively contribute to sustainability efforts, fostering a greener future for the island.

Winners of the "Self-Improvement" Challenge

1st Place: Databulls
Databulls presented a microlearning app designed to explore professional skills through short videos. Covering fields like backend development, social media management, and general business management, the app makes skill-building accessible and efficient for users.

2nd Place: Work Wize
This AI-powered tool focuses on mental health and job satisfaction. By gathering anonymous workplace feedback and identifying stress patterns, it offers actionable insights to employees and management, enhancing well-being and productivity.

3rd Place: HelioWorld
HelioWorld’s beginner-friendly app uses AI to create engaging exercises for learning Greek. It offers an accessible path for users to take their first steps in mastering the language, combining practicality with fun.

People’s Choice Award: LRS (Lanitio Research Squad)

Capturing public enthusiasm, LRS created an interactive map-based app for discovering events in Limassol. Whether concerts, parties, or community activities, the platform allows users to explore and add events, fostering connections and strengthening local bonds.
