New EAC Mobile App Update Required by July 1

Cyprus Electricity Authority Urges Customers to Upgrade App to Avoid Service Disruption

The Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC) is launching a new version of its EAC Mobile App for mobile devices.

In an official announcement, the EAC informs users that as of July 1, 2025, the older version of the EAC Mobile App will no longer be supported on Android and iOS devices.

Customers who still have the older version installed must take the following steps:

  • For Android users: Uninstall the current version of the app, open the Google Play Store, search for EAC Mobile App, and install the latest version.

  • For iOS users: Open the App Store, search for EAC Mobile App, and select the Update option to install the new version.

The EAC urges all users to complete the update promptly to ensure uninterrupted access to its digital services, which includes a range of features that allow customers to:

  • View and monitor their electricity bills and consumption history

  • Pay bills electronically

  • Opt to receive bills electronically

  • Submit their meter readings, including the ability to photograph the meter, in cases where the reading could not be collected by EAC personnel

Additionally, app users can:

  • Submit service requests such as tree trimming, street lighting issues, or network problems

  • Access real-time information on scheduled power outages and ongoing faults, categorized by district with estimated restoration times

  • Use a smart calculator tool to estimate the cost of electricity consumption based on one or more appliances

The EAC highlights the importance of staying up to date with the latest app version to continue enjoying these services without interruption.
