CIF Presents 'Business Practice Manifesto' to Finance Minister
On August 24, 2023, the Cyprus Integrity Forum (CIF) convened with the Minister of Finance, Makis Keraunos. The central agenda of their discussion was the significant challenges and goals aligned with CIF's core mission.
During this significant meet-up, the CIF handed over a 'Business Practice Manifesto' to Mr. Keraunos, illustrating their key objectives and priorities.
In an official statement from CIF, its President, Marios Skandalis, articulated the milestones and projects of the organization. He warmly acknowledged the consistent and invaluable cooperation they've enjoyed with the Minister of Finance over the years.
Skandalis spotlighted CIF's accomplishments, especially emphasizing their strategic alliances with both international and local entities. He passionately underscored the Board of Directors' unwavering commitment to combat pervasive corruption and champion transparency within the nation.
The discussions further delved into the effective management and oversight of GeSY, ensuring its sustainability. They also touched upon the integration of the previously ratified Code of Public Governance across all governmental divisions. Both parties agreed to solidify their cooperation in these areas, envisioning a transparent and efficient future.
From his side, the Minister lauded the CIF initiative, recognizing its monumental role in fostering business ethics. He extended his commendation to the 12 proactive member companies in Cyprus for their voluntary and enthusiastic participation in such a transformative program.
