Cyprus Airways Sees Rise in Passenger Numbers

The Company Anticipates a Record-Breaking Month in August's Tourist Arrivals

Cyprus Airways experienced a surge in passengers in July 2023, transporting a remarkable 77,656 individuals. This marks a 70% increase from July 2022 when the airline transported 45,578 passengers. Furthermore, expectations are high for a significant influx of tourists to Cyprus in August, suggesting continued growth for the airline.

Highlighting their growth, Cyprus Airways released a statement indicating that their operations have expanded considerably. In the previous month, they executed 548 scheduled flights, which is a noticeable leap from the 337 flights in July 2022. Their performance this year showcases a load factor similar to last year's, emphasizing efficiency alongside growth.

Moreover, when juxtaposed with June 2019's figures, the airline's advancements become even more evident. They transported 41% more passengers and increased their flight operations by 25%.

The A220 Airbus

Paul Sies, the CEO of Cyprus Airways, shared his enthusiasm: "July 2023 stands out as a particularly vibrant and fruitful month for us. Impressively, the passenger numbers we reported last month equate to the entire tally for 2021. This is a record-breaking achievement in comparison to the preceding years."

Enhancing the flight experience for its patrons, Cyprus Airways incorporated the advanced Airbus A220 into its fleet in July. This state-of-the-art aircraft promises travelers an unmatched in-flight experience. "It represents an optimal balance between passenger comfort, operational prowess, and our dedication to sustainability," remarked Mr. Sies.

With an optimistic view of the coming months, Mr. Sies added: "Initial data for August, traditionally our peak month, looks very promising. We anticipate another record-breaking month in tourist arrivals. This summer, our 60 weekly flights have connected travelers from 19 diverse destinations."
