The Company Reaffirmed Its Trust in Cyprus’ Potential

In a meeting held in New York yesterday, the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, engaged in discussions with top executives from the renowned global firm, Ernst & Young. The delegation was led by Julie Linn Teigland, Managing Partner for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, and also included senior leaders from the company’s Cyprus operations.

Key topics revolved around foreign investments, economic strategies, and Cyprus' potential role as a strategic hub in the wider region, related to the government's initiatives to bolster Cyprus' regional prominence.

According to government sources, Ernst & Young reaffirmed its trust in Cyprus' potential. The firm expressed plans to double its investments in human resources in the country, particularly in the fields of technology and strategic consulting. Leveraging Cyprus as a service hub for the broader region appears to be a significant element in the firm's strategy.

President Christodoulides emphasized that attracting high-quality investments to sectors where Cyprus can excel as a regional hub is among the government's top priorities. The meeting "echoed the policies currently being pushed forward to achieve this vision," the President noted.
