George Mais has been re-elected as the President of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVE Paphos) for the triennial period of 2023-2026.

The announcement from EVE Paphos indicated that the new Board of Directors convened on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 5:30 pm and was officially constituted.

As stipulated in Article 30(1) of the EVE Paphos Statute, "within ten days, or sooner if possible, following the convening of the electoral assembly, the Council Members, as mentioned in Article 29(β), shall meet in a session to elect the President, five Vice Presidents, and the Honorary Secretary for their term of office."

Consequently, Mr. Georgios Mais has been re-elected as President of EVE Paphos for the 2023-2026 period.

The re-elected President extended his best wishes for a productive and successful tenure to all members during a crucial time marked by significant challenges in both the local and global economy, arising from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the Israel-Hamas war.

He expressed his commitment to dedicating his efforts for the benefit of the commercial and industrial community and the broader business sector. His aim is to support the interests of the local and national economy and to promote significant infrastructure projects of super-regional importance for the Paphos province.

The announcement further stated the election of new Vice Presidents: Michalis Michail as Vice President of Industry, Michalis Chatzimitsis as Vice President of Commerce, Stefanos Stefanou as Vice President of Finance, Chrysis Chrysanthou as Vice President of Tourism, and Nikos Kouvaros as Vice President of Services.

Lefteris Aristodemou has been elected as the new Honorary Secretary of EVE Paphos.
