Key Government-Investor Discussion to Be Hosted
Laying the Groundwork for Investment Growth
A meeting between the Cypriot government and foreign investors is scheduled to take place at the Presidential Palace on November 20th. This meeting aims to bolster efforts to transform Cyprus into a central investment hub, as announced by Eugenios Eugeniu, President of the event organizer, Invest Cyprus.
The inaugural round-table discussion took place last June, involving over 20 foreign investors. It was attended by President Christodoulides, aiming to submit recommendations and findings for further enhancing Cyprus's attractiveness. The meeting also facilitated the activities of those who have invested or relocated their headquarters to Cyprus.
"The goal for the upcoming meeting is to move from feedback to action," stated Mr. Eugeniu.
He noted that this new meeting would be more expansive, involving a larger group of investors. Ministers are expected to present actions in their respective areas of responsibility, addressing or resolving the recommendations highlighted in the previous meeting.
Additionally, the annual general assembly of Invest Cyprus will take place on the same afternoon.
It's worth recalling that according to a report by FDI Intelligence, Cyprus ranked third globally in the recovery of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in 2022. Invest Cyprus aims to maintain this momentum in the sector.
