Limassol Set to Host M&I Europe Summer 2023 Forum
The picturesque coastal city of Limassol is gearing up to host the M&I Europe Summer 2023 forum. Slated from August 30 to September 2, this major event is expected to attract over 300 service and product providers in the conferences, events, and tourist incentives sectors.
The significance of the event was underscored in a recent press conference in Limassol, orchestrated by the Limassol Tourism Company (ETAL). Esteemed representatives from CIMA, Muskita Hotels, and Sassy Events International graced the occasion. Additionally, Greg Taylor, the Marketing head of MICE M&I, provided insights via a teleconference.
For Cyprus, it's a landmark event. As Taylor pointed out, it's the debut of the M&I summer conference in the nation. This was made possible due to the inauguration of the City of Dreams Mediterranean. This venue, noted for being Europe’s inaugural integrated resort and casino, is the chosen location for the gathering.
Over the forum's four-day duration, attendees will benefit from 40 pre-scheduled 15-minute meetings with key buyers from the UK and Europe, as well as global suppliers. Beyond business, participants will also have the chance to immerse themselves in the allure of Limassol, thanks to a carefully curated program of destination discovery and networking events.
Speaking on behalf of ETAL, General Director Maria Stylianou conveyed the sentiment of the organization's President, Tonis Antoniou. Both regard hosting such an event as a feather in Limassol’s cap, anticipating that it will substantially bolster the city's tourism profile. Stylianou emphasized the City of Dreams Mediterranean's pivotal role in positioning Cyprus as a contender for hosting premier international and European conventions.
Furthermore, she applauded the forum as a testament to the power of focused private initiatives in elevating Cyprus's stature as a tourist hotspot. Stylianou extended gratitude towards CIMA and the City of Dreams for their bid to anchor the conference. She also acknowledged Muskita Hotels, Sassy Events International for their contributions, and the Deputy Ministry for Tourism for unwavering support.
CIMA's President, Orestis Aristides, chimed in, elucidating CIMA's mission. The association is devoted to championing Cyprus as a prime choice for conferences, corporate excursions, and global events. Lastly, he emphasized the potential myriad benefits that can spring from conference and corporate tourism.
