Paphos Marina Competition Set for Mid-September Announcement

Paphos Marina Competition Set for Mid-September Announcement

Anticipation is building as the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) prepares for the unveiling of the competition concerning the development of the Paphos Marina. This competition, expected to be announced by mid-September, seeks consultants to assist in drafting the necessary documentation.

The CCI President, Mr. Giorgos May, speaking to KYPE, shed light on a brief delay. Originally slated for an early August announcement, the competition faced a minor setback due to issues with the documentations. These papers were forwarded to the Legal Service for review, leading to suggestions for corrections. The revised documents have since been submitted and are expected to be finalized either in the first or second week of September.

The BOT method

On further questioning, Mr. May confirmed that concerns raised by various Paphos entities regarding the developmental framework have been duly addressed and resolved.

He also highlighted the competition's methodological approach: the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) method. This strategy invites potential investors to participate, ensuring that the development of the Paphos Marina adheres to the stipulated terms of the announcement.

With the competition's formal announcement approaching, all eyes are on the prospects this development could bring to Paphos and its stakeholders.
