Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs Welcome New Business Talent

Young entrepreneurs showed interest in submitting applications for participation in the "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023," organized for the first time in Cyprus by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.

According to a press release from the Stelios Foundation, 23 young entrepreneurs applied for the "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023," competing for a cash prize of €60,000 (1st Prize €30,000 - 2nd Prize €20,000 - 3rd Prize €10,000), which Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will award to the top three business ideas that stand out.

It is added that the application process, which ended on July 14, 2023, involved young entrepreneurs under the age of 35, of any nationality, who have founded a company in Cyprus in the last 5 years.

The award ceremony will take place online on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 14:00, and Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will congratulate the three winners via Zoom. The winners will be at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation on Markou Drakou Street, Nicosia, to discuss their entrepreneurial activities that distinguished them among other proposals.

It is worth noting that the "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs in Cyprus 2023" are the first event of its kind on the island, following the similar awards in Greece, which have been held since 2008.

Furthermore, the "Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs" aim to become a tradition in Cyprus, similar to the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards, which have been rewarding intercommunal business cooperation since 2009. The next award ceremony for the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards is scheduled for March 2024.
