Virtual Teams' European Project Supports Businesses in Teleworking
The European project "Virtual Teams" has made an exciting announcement. They have successfully developed and made available a comprehensive set of free educational materials and tools designed to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in effectively managing teleworking.
Funded by the esteemed Erasmus+ program and implemented in Cyprus by CARDET and the Institute of Development, the primary objective of this initiative is to support businesses in ensuring the productivity and well-being of their teams amidst the evolving landscape of teleworking.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work has become increasingly prevalent, adopted by various companies and organizations. While offering substantial advantages for both employers and employees, it also presents significant challenges. Companies that embrace teleworking, whether in a fully remote capacity or through a hybrid model, must adapt their operational strategies and personnel management techniques accordingly.
Consequently, it is vital for these businesses to provide proper guidance and support to their workforce, ensuring their productivity and well-being under the new circumstances.
The esteemed consortium behind Virtual Teams comprises organizations from six European countries. Together, they have curated an impressive range of digital tools aimed at training and supporting personnel within small and medium-sized enterprises.
Notably, they have developed an innovative and practical toolkit, brimming with proven best practices for teleworking. Additionally, a comprehensive package of online training (accessible via the project's MOOC) and in-house training has been created specifically for managerial executives and human resources professionals. These invaluable resources can be accessed free of charge in Greek, Slovenian, French, and Spanish through the project's website.
CARDET's recent announcement highlights the integration of Virtual Teams into a broader, multifaceted endeavor jointly pursued by CARDET and the Institute of Development. The overarching objective is to educate and guide managerial executives in adopting and implementing effective practices that enhance productivity and well-being within their workforce.
The esteemed project consortium includes Sud Concept (France), CARDET (Cyprus), IoD (Cyprus), FiP (Ireland), CCIS (Slovenia), Accion Laboral (Spain), and Innovation Frontiers (Greece).
