Bank of Cyprus Introduces Electronic Dividend Payment Options for Shareholders
Shareholders Can Now Receive Dividends Electronically through 1bank and BoC Mobile App
The Bank of Cyprus is offering shareholders the option to receive their upcoming and future dividend payments electronically.
According to an announcement, CSE shareholders who are clients of the Bank of Cyprus Public Company Ltd and subscribers to 1bank can use 1bank, Internet Banking, or the BoC Mobile app (selecting Personal Information / Dividend Payment) to submit instructions for receiving their dividend payments electronically into an account in their name at the Bank of Cyprus.
Alternatively, CSE shareholders who are clients of the Bank of Cyprus but are not yet 1bank subscribers can become subscribers free of charge. They can obtain access codes through Internet Banking or the BoC Mobile app and then submit their instructions.
For CSE shareholders who are currently not clients of the Bank of Cyprus, the Bank stated that they can become clients by opening an account through the BoC Mobile app, and then submit their instructions.
Finally, CSE shareholders who wish to receive their dividends via electronic transfer to other financial institutions can submit their instructions in writing by sending the appropriate forms as indicated in the instructions on the forms.
The Bank also mentioned that CSE shareholders who want to receive their dividends electronically must submit the necessary instructions at least 10 working days before the payment date of June 14, 2024. If instructions are submitted after this deadline, they will be considered for the next dividend payment.
Following an amendment to its Articles of Association, the Bank stated that it is no longer obliged to send dividend amounts of €2 or less by check. Therefore, CSE shareholders who submit instructions for electronic transfer ensure the payment of dividends, regardless of the amount.
Regarding CSE shareholders whose shares are under the control of an Operator (Stock Brokerage Firm or Custodian), their dividends, according to the new CSE regulations, will be paid to the Operator.
