The season for cozy fireplaces and delicious food has officially arrived! With temperatures dropping sharply since Sunday, we’ve entered the wonderful time of year that calls for a warm fire, fine wine, and tasty dishes. A mountain-top taverna is here to offer you all this and more!
We’re talking about Makris Tavern, located in the picturesque village of Moniatis, right on the main Limassol-Platres road. Surrounded by greenery and nestled in the forest, this taverna exudes Cypriot hospitality with its warm ambiance and friendly service. The fireplace, a centerpiece of the space, adds an extra touch of warmth to your experience.
The restaurant serves a wide variety of flavorful dishes from traditional Cypriot cuisine. You’ll find an array of grilled options, home-cooked specialties, and oven-baked dishes.
Portions are generous, and if you order the meze, you’ll enjoy an extensive selection of Cypriot delicacies, offering a true taste of the island’s culinary richness.
On the menu, you’ll find souvlakia, baked macaroni, meatballs, koupepia, zucchini with eggs, lamb chops, and much more. On select days, you can also savor kleftiko and souvla.
