First Film Produced in Cyprus to Feature on Netflix

'Find me Falling' Is Scheduled to Premiere on the Streaming Platform on July 19

The romantic comedy "Find Me Falling" is set to become the first movie produced in Cyprus to be featured on Netflix. The film, starring the multi-talented Harry Connick Jr., is scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform on July 19.

"Find Me Falling" narrates the story of John Allman, an aging rock star played by Connick Jr., who retreats to a secluded cliffside home in Cyprus after his latest album flops. Seeking solace and inspiration on the picturesque Mediterranean island, John’s plans for a quiet life are quickly upended as he encounters various locals and rekindles a past romance.

Writer and director Stelana Kliris, a Cyprus native, describes the film as a "love letter to Cyprus," emphasizing its aim to offer audiences a sense of magical escapism. The movie's setting in Cyprus isn't just a backdrop but a character in its own right, with the film featuring the island's stunning azure coastlines and majestic mountains.

The cast of "Find Me Falling" includes Agni Scott, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Tony Demetriou, Aggeliki Filippidou, Lea Maleni, Athina Roditou, and Clarence Smith. Kliris praises the cast for bringing the heart and substance necessary for a compelling romantic comedy, believing that the characters and the actors behind them are key to connecting with the audience.

Invest Cyprus, the national investment promotion agency dedicated to attracting foreign investment, has expressed joy over this development. The Cyprus Film Commission's approval of "Find Me Falling" is seen as a significant step forward in spotlighting Cyprus as a premier global filming destination.
