TripAdvisor has unveiled its annual Travellers’ Choice awards for 2025, spotlighting the best beaches worldwide and across Europe. Topping this year’s global list is Elafonisi in Crete, Greece—widely celebrated for its striking pinkish sand and crystal-clear waters. Elafonisi’s ecological significance is also noteworthy, as the area is protected under the Natura network, attracting visitors seeking both natural beauty and responsible tourism.

Joining Elafonisi in the global top five are Banana Beach in Thailand (2nd), Eagle Beach in Aruba (3rd), Siesta Beach in Florida (4th), and Praia da Falésia in Portugal (5th). Greece’s Myrtos Beach on Kefalonia also earns a prominent position in the worldwide rankings, while additional Greek standouts in the European list include Falasarna and Anthony Quinn Beach.

Cyprus sees two of its shores recognized among Europe’s best: Konnos Beach secures the 19th spot, and Makronissos Beach lands at 24th.
