Nicosia will host the second Intergovernmental Summit between Cyprus and Greece, as well as the fourth Cyprus-Greece-Jordan Trilateral Summit, at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday. These meetings aim to strengthen collaboration on a range of issues and enhance regional stability.

According to a statement by the Presidency, the Intergovernmental Summit will be led by President Nikos Christodoulides and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with the participation of ministers from both governments. The summit is expected to cover critical topics, including the Cyprus issue, digital transformation, labour and social policy, education, health, shipping, culture, and defence. Bilateral meetings between Cypriot and Greek ministers will also take place.

Ahead of the Intergovernmental Summit, President Christodoulides and Prime Minister Mitsotakis will attend and address the 2nd Business Conference in Nicosia, organized with the support of the Chambers of Commerce from both countries. Following the summit, the two leaders will make statements to the media.

At noon, the Cyprus-Greece-Jordan Trilateral Summit will commence with a working lunch following a private meeting between President Christodoulides, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Prime Minister Mitsotakis. This marks the fourth such summit, succeeding the one held in Athens in July 2021.

During the Trilateral Summit, the leaders will review the progress of trilateral cooperation, including initiatives such as the establishment of a Permanent Secretariat in Cyprus to coordinate the trilateral mechanisms, the creation of a regional firefighting center in Cyprus, and collaborative efforts in education and investment. The agenda will also address regional developments, the Cyprus issue, and EU-Jordan relations.

Additionally, the three countries will sign Memoranda of Understanding in the fields of education, water management, and investments, further cementing their commitment to collaborative progress.
