On January 20, in Nicosia, President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides is set to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar.

Mr. Letymbiotis stated that January 20 was one of the dates proposed by the Greek Cypriot side for the meeting. UNFICYP Spokesperson Aleem Siddique confirmed that the meeting will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the residence of Colin Stewart, the Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus and Deputy Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Cyprus.

In a written statement, Mr. Siddique mentioned that Mr. Stewart has been in contact with both sides from New York, where he is currently based.

President Christodoulides emphasized that his goal for the meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar is to achieve a positive outcome for both sides regarding the crossing points.
