Andreas Tsouloftas Takes Over ETAP Limassol Presidency

New leadership follows the passing of Tony Antoniou.

The President of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Andreas Tsoulophtas, has also assumed the Presidency of the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP Limassol). The position was previously held by Tony Antoniou, who passed away on 21 December 2025 following a battle with cancer.

In an official announcement, ETAP Limassol states that Mr Tsoulophtas’s appointment comes at a particularly challenging time for the organisation, noting that “the late Tony Antoniou served ETAP Limassol with dedication and consistency, leaving a significant imprint on its work and overall course”.

At the same time, the announcement adds that the new President of ETAP Limassol “has long-standing experience in the business and institutional sectors, as well as substantial knowledge of the needs and prospects of the local economy”.

“His objective is to continue and further strengthen the work of ETAP Limassol, with an emphasis on sustainable tourism development, cooperation with all local stakeholders, and the enhancement of Limassol’s international promotion,” the statement continues.

It is also noted that during the first meeting of the Board of Directors of ETAP Limassol, held yesterday, Wednesday, 21 January, under the chairmanship of Mr Tsoulophtas, the main pillars for the continuation of the organisation’s work were defined.

These pillars, the announcement stresses, focus on close cooperation and collective effort with municipalities, institutions and tourism-related businesses, aiming to promote and upgrade Limassol’s tourism product and to further strengthen tourism development across the district.
