Cypriot IT Companies Showcase Dynamic Presence at GITEX Exhibition
Cypriot IT Sector Showcases Innovation and Expands Global Reach at GITEX 2024.
The Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA), a member of the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), participated in the GITEX exhibition, which took place in Dubai from October 14 to 18, 2024. The association was represented by its President, Mr. Dimitris Nisiotis, and Vice President, Mr. George Malekkos.
CITEA has taken on the role of the official representative of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in Cyprus, promoting the participation of Cypriot companies in the GITEX Global 2024 and Global DevSlam 2024 exhibitions.
The Cypriot companies that participated had the opportunity to showcase their products and services and expand their network at one of the largest technology exhibitions in the world, featuring over 6,000 exhibitors from 180 countries.
The presence of government officials was significant in promoting Cyprus and Cypriot companies. Specifically, the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, Mr. Nikodemos Damianou, the Chief Scientist, Mr. Dimitris Skourides, the Director General of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, Mr. Marios Panagidis, and the Director General of the Research and Innovation Foundation, Mr. Theodoros Loukaidis, attended the exhibition. Also noteworthy was the contribution of the Cypriot Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ms. Merope Christophi.
CITEA expressed its satisfaction with the success of the exhibition, extending warm thanks to the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, the Cyprus Trade Center in the UAE, and the Cypriot Ambassador to the UAE for their valuable cooperation. The association looks forward to even greater participation of Cypriot IT companies in future exhibitions and missions, aiming to strengthen their presence in international markets.
